Real Coaching At A Lower Price
$60–$70 per person for a certified trainer's full attention on two people. It's the most cost-effective way to get coached in Manhattan.
All the coaching of a private session, split between two people. Bring a partner or let us match you — $60–$70 per person, no contracts, no membership fees.

Semi-private means exactly two clients with one certified trainer. It is not a class. Both of you get your own program, your own loads, and your own coaching — you just share the hour and the cost.
It works for couples and friends who want to train together, for coworkers who can book the same lunch slot, and for individuals who want personal training at a lower price point. If you don't have a partner, we'll match you with someone at a similar level and schedule.
The maximum is two. We don't run groups of three, four, or six and call it "semi-private."
We talk to each person about goals, history, and schedule. If you're being matched, we pair you with someone whose availability and level line up with yours.
Your trainer writes a separate program for each client. You might be squatting while your partner is pressing — the coach moves between you, correcting form and setting loads.
Every set gets eyes on it. Because there are only two of you, the trainer is never more than a few feet away.
Diet coaching is included with any training plan, for both partners, whenever you want it.
Each person pays their own rate, which drops as you train more often. No membership fees and no contracts for either of you.

Our cap is two clients per trainer. That's what keeps it personal training rather than a small class with a fancy name.
No training partner? We'll match you with a client at a similar level and schedule. Many of our longest-running pairs met at BUF.
A partner expecting you at 7 AM is the single best attendance tool we know of. Semi-private clients tend to be our most consistent.
No membership, no initiation, no package to pre-buy. Book the frequency that works and change it as needed.
One semi-private client dropped 21 pounds and 14 percentage points of body fat in a little over a year, training 1-on-2 three times a week. Read Zach's story.

No. If you don't have one, we'll match you with another client at a similar level and schedule. If you do have one, you can book together from day one.
That's normal and it's fine. Each of you gets your own program and your own weights. You share the coach and the hour, not the workout.
No. Small group classes at big gyms often run 4–8 people on one shared workout. BUF semi-private is capped at two people, each on an individual program.
